Paragliders
Ran into two paragliders during my hike in South Arm. It looked really fun!
Over the Edge
One of the paragliders flying into the channel, Tasman Bridge in the distance. This was one of my favorite moments during my trip. It symbolized what I was doing here at Tassie, flying into the unknown, emersed in the moment.
Tessellated Pavement
Can you believe these polygons are formed naturally?
Tasman Sunset
My first sunset in Tassie, at an unknown cove and seemingly middle of nowhere. It was glorious!
Wineglass Bay Overlook
Overlooking Wineglass Bay, one of the main features at Freycinet National Park
Wineglass bay
Wineglass Bay up close. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been
Hazards Beach
Pristine, deserted, and gorgeous. A little slice of heaven
Hazards Cove
Cove at the end of Hazards Beach, where I met my first wild wallaby
Wild Wallaby
"Another bloody tourist." This wallaby, probably.
Honeymoon Bay
An unforgettable sunset in Freycinet National Park
Mount Wellington
Mount Wellington in the distance, from South Arm
Aboard the Bruny Island Ferry
This was my first time on a car ferry. It was a pretty fun experience!
Double Rainbow
Just when you thought Tassie couldn't get more magical
Bruny Island Lighthouse
It is the second oldest extant lighthouse tower in Australia. It also has the longest (158 years) history of being continuously manned. It was decommissioned in 1996 and replaced by an automated lighthouse to its east (see later).
Be Vewy Vewy Quiet
"Another bloody tourist." This rabbit, probably.
Impending Storm
This was probably one of the most dramatic sights during my trip. I could see, smell, and feel the storm in the distance, and the sunlight breaking through the clouds, spot on. Breathtaking.
Lighthouse Bay
Lighthouse Bay from top of the lighthouse. The red buildings are the keepers' residence.
Lighthouse Bay (pt. 2)
Lighthouse Bay from the road. You can see the automated lighthouse in the middle of the photo.
Tasman Bridge
Tasman Bridge under the stars
Salamanca Market
Open on Saturdays, Salamanca Market is usually filled with food, arts, crafts, and of course, talented people. These two were brilliant and fun to watch.
Screensaver
"Another bloody tourist." That cow, probably.
FUNgi
Saw this little nugget on my hike in Mount Field. So delicate and beautiful
Russell Falls
Magnificent Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park.
